There Are 2 Kinds of People

Two types of people exist: those who are ageing… and the ones that are degenerating.

In my 10 years in health and fitness, I have learned this. After reading this prayer by a rabbi, I found my motto: “Let’s not die whilst we’re still alive.”

How can we live the most fully possible?

When I started studying neurology, everything came together.

Nearly all fitness programs fail to consider the role of our brains in everyday life.

It is the brain’s predictive power that I use to age, and not decay. The brain relies on three systems of perception, or data input, to make decisions and predictions. These are vision, balance and movement.

What is the importance of this process? It’s important! It stops us doing something when the brain cannot predict accurately due to corrupt input or it does not match expectations. The brain freezes our muscles or gives us signals in the form pain, fatigue, nausea and vertigo. It can also cause migraines.

The brain may not be able to predict when joints become swollen, perhaps due to an overdose of exercises. It could also be due to a broken equilibrium system, or even a loss in vision.

It turns out that we don’t see with our eyeballs. Vision occupies the most space in our brains. It is SO important for our ability to predict, and therefore our survival, that we see using our brains. It’s not the eyesight that’s being seen. Understanding what’s seen is important. Because our eyesight controls 70% of postural movements, any confusion in our vision will affect our movement.

We can train all these systems to work together and improve them. The brain output and, therefore, the output of the body, is clearer and stronger.

This is the way I can avoid death while still living. As it turns out, you can choose to age or degenerate.

Our gym is unlike any other. Our clients can age better with our help. The brain is trained, and the body follows. Our business is to age, not decompose.

Three Pillars Strong will help improve your vision, movement and balance. The Small Group Personal Training Program is highly customized, specialized, and can be used in conjunction with any exercise program.
