Anxiety Disorder

Anxiety is not only natural, but also necessary to survive when faced with triggers that could be harmful or worry-provoking. Since the beginning of human history, the presence of danger and predators has triggered alarms within the body. This allows an individual to avoid harm. Alarms are visible as an increased heartbeat, increased sweating and increased awareness of surroundings. These reactions are caused by a rush of adrenaline when danger is present. The ‘fight or flight’ reaction is the adrenaline rush. This adrenaline boost prepares the human body to either fight or run from any danger. Running from large animals or imminent dangers is less of a concern for most people today. Work, family, finances, health and other important issues demand attention, but do not necessarily require the “fight or flight” reaction. The nervousness you feel before a big event in your life or when faced with a challenging situation is the natural echo of that original “fight-or flight” reaction. The fear of being struck by a vehicle when crossing the road, for instance, can be vital to survival. Anxiety disorder Sometimes the duration and intensity of an anxiety feeling are out of proportion with its original cause. Other physical symptoms such as nausea and increased blood pressure may be evident. This response goes beyond normal anxiety and becomes an anxiety disorder. When a response is not in proportion with what would be normal, anxiety disorders can occur. According to the APA, a person suffering from anxiety disorder is “prone to recurring intrusive concerns or thoughts.” Use Rivotril® 2mg: Read your doctor’s Medication Guide before you begin taking Clonazepam, and each time you get a refill.
